đŸ’Œ How to Job-Hunt Like a Black-Ops Project Manager

Hey {{ first_name }},

If your job search looks like everyone else’s, congrats—you just joined the world’s most crowded inbox.

Painful but true.

Forget job boards.

Forget tailoring resumes into a contorted mess.

Your focus should NOT be on applying, but on landing.

That means hacking the game, not playing it straight.

Some PRACTICAL stand-out hacks that have helped people land 6-figure jobs are:

✅ 1. Rewrite your resume like a business case.
Stop saying “managed timelines.” Say: “Cut delivery time by 24%—saved $30K in dev hours.” You’re not a worker. You’re a value factory. So, sell it.

🧠 2. Run a Trojan Horse project.
Pick a company you love. Reverse-engineer one of their failed launches or late deliveries. Write a teardown article and how you'd do it different. AI can assist. Then post it. Tag key people. Now you’re not an applicant—you’re the candidate who already cares. And if you're afraid, what do you have to lose? You don't have that job anyway - but you now have people's attention!

đŸŽ„ 3. Go live, not quiet.
Launch a 10-minute LinkedIn Live: “3 Project Mistakes I Fixed That Cost Us $200K.” Raw, honest, no fluff. You’ll grab the attention of the right people—while everyone else is still “networking.” And you strengthen the core tool that gets you ahead, like I talk about in the 30 Day Tech Manager Accelerator course; your mind.

🔍 4. Audit job listings like a criminal profiler.
Pull 10 listings. Extract repeated phrases and missing skill sets. Now create a post showing exactly how you’ve closed that gap. One post per pain point.

🎁 5. Offer free value without being weird.
DM a hiring manager: “Hey, I noticed your [project X] is likely hitting [issue Y]. Here’s how I’ve solved it before. If you ever want a no-strings consult, I’m down.” Bold? Yes.

But that’s why it works.

If you need a free CV review tool, you can try out our Resume AI. You'll need a ChatGPT account - and it's made available for people on the 30 Day Tech Project Manager Accelerator Course, in addition to other tools.

But you can also use it for free. 😉

Got suggestions, shoot us an email at hello@javontech.com

We'll share some cool ChatGPT tricks in the next newsletter.

And, we're sincerely rooting for you!

You're doing the work. So why don't you have the title?
Don't be like me. I used to run the project. You can relate to this, I'm sure. I'd do it all. Classic "good boy". Set up the meetings. Chase the updates. Write the handover docs nobody else wanted to touch. Then sit quietly while someone else presented it to the director. I wasn't invisible because I wasn't good enough. Not tooting my horn. I was good. Very good. 😎  I was invisible because I ne...
Stop Running. Seriously. Stop
I’m writing a different type of note today to you. It may make you feel uncomfortable; truth often does that.   But it’s really to ask you 2 important questions: When you look at what you are doing daily, does it lead you to the desired life you say you want? If the answer is no, what is really stopping you?   You may have signed up to get a free tool, or learn about project management.    Ho...
AI will make most people stupid
Sounds extreme, but it isn’t - and it will happen in many ways.   First, for most people, algorithms will figure out your preferences. Religion, politics, biases, preferences. Then the algorithms will spit a lot of that right back at you in your feed. Many apps have a feed by design; “Hooked” by Nir Eyal shows how this can be addictive - by design. Pretty much, you consume a lot of information ...
