Just got a Project Management Job?

If you’re new to project management, here’s what to laser-focus on in the first 90 days:

1. Clarity Over Everything

Before you sprint into timelines and deliverables, just keep these 3 questions in mind:
• What are we actually solving?
• What does success look like?
• Who decides that?

Clarity kills chaos. Vagueness is the enemy. Nail down the vision and scope, or you’ll end up managing dumpster fires.

⸝

2. Become a Human Router

You are NOT the genius. You are the connector of geniuses.

Your job is to:
• Remove blockers
• Clarify misunderstandings
• Facilitate decisions
You win when your team doesn’t need to ping you every 5 minutes. That’s efficiency.

⸝

3. Stop Worshipping the Plan

No plan survives first contact with reality. Don't get into Waterfall vs Agile fights.

You need a plan, yes, but you need adaptability more.

From years of experience, here's how to stay flexible:
• Weekly syncs > Static timelines. Things change in the real world.
• Feedback loops > Endless documentation. People hardly read long documents.
• Risks log > False sense of control. Track with RAID, CRAID or RAAIDD. It covers your butt - and makes you look really professional!

⸝

4. Your Calendar = Your Power

Overwhelm usually starts in the calendar.

Start time-boxing:
• 30 mins daily for deep-focus
• 2 slots per week for 1:1s (yes, even informal ones)
• 15 mins weekly for “what’s not working?”

If you don’t control your calendar, everyone else will.

⸝

5. Say This Phrase Daily:

“What would done look like for you?”

Ambiguity is the quickest route to scope creep and chaos. Push for definitions, on tasks, on success, on expectations.

Cheers to your success!

Here’s something nobody tells you about AI
If you dump all the right documents into it… it can still give you the wrong answer! Why? Because the AI doesn’t need all the information. It only needs the most relevant parts. And without a good filtering step, it ends up mixing truth with noise. The Filtering Step 🧹Once the AI pulls chunks of knowledge from your vector database, it needs to decide:• ✅ Keep the few that actually answer the qu...
What if I told you AI does NOT see your photos
You've sent a photo to ChatGPT. Maybe it was a screenshot of a document. A chart you needed explained. A picture of your whiteboard after a long meeting. Or this one?    And it answered. Accurately. Maybe even impressively. So here's the question nobody asks: What did the AI actually see? The answer is going to bother you a little. Nothing. It saw nothing. Not in the way you see things. Not ev...
"AI isn’t really “smart… it’s just really good at finding stuff.” 👀
Let’s be honest: when people talk about AI, it sounds like magic. But here’s the truth — without the right storage system, even the best AI is basically rummaging through a messy junk drawer. So far in this series, we’ve:1️⃣ Broken big documents into smaller pieces (chunking).2️⃣ Turned those pieces into “meaning fingerprints” which are really numbers.(vectors).But now comes the real question:Whe...
